New website for Markus Rogan goes online
Just in time before the start of the Summer Olympic Games in London the new website of performance swimmer Markus Rogan is accessible at www.markusrogan.at. The official website of the medal candidate went online under the slogan „water meets passion“. The agency Euroweb from Düsseldorf has developed the new layout.
World-class swimmer Markus Rogan is mainly in Austria, but also well beyond a popular sports star. With more than 30 medals Markus Rogan is now Austria’s most successful swimmer of all times. He is also a multiple European champion. In 2005 he set a new world record 200m backstroke swimming and won silver at the Olympics and the World Cup.
The Internet agency Euroweb was in charge of the creation of the new website for Markus Rogan. The goal was to create a modern and emotionally thrilling design as well as easy accessibility of information about Markus Rogan’s life and his remarkable achievements.
The new online site offers unusually strong visual teasers, high usability and clarity. Many image elements entice the visitor to literal immersion. The special feature of this site lies in the detail: each underside was designed individually. The home page refers to important information quickly. Also on the home page are channels for news, press releases and Twitter for the latest releases. Structure and navigation of all sections will become apparent quickly and intuitively.

The website of the Austrian swimmer Markus Rogan was designed by art director Julia Heuer from Düsseldorf and implemented by coder Gezim Nimonaj: „To me it was important that the visitors of the site get to know two fascinating traits of Markus Rogan. Under the heading Private Mark he is shown serious on the one side, on the other side he makes a funny face. His fans will appreciate his casual way as well as the passionate type. A clear structure and extensive image collages put the versatility of the young athlete deliberately in the limelight”, said Julia Heuer.
In regard to the international alignment of the competitor and Stanford graduate Markus Rogan, the new bilingual website has been designed so that information can also be read in English.
